About Eight Books SF
Eight Books SF was formed by Notara Lum in 2008 as a handmade book studio. Lum studied traditional hand-bookbinding with master bookbinders Dominic Riley, John DeMerritt, and other talented teachers at the San Francisco Center for the Book. Over the years the product line has expanded beyond solely books to include a range of handmade and sourced accessories. Each item offers a sense of history and contemporary functionality.
Desk Blotter Care
Avoid long periods of direct sunlight. Remove dust with a dry cloth or fine dusting brush. Do not use liquid or spray cleaners. If using under a computer insert a barrier, such as a thin stack of paper or a piece of board, between the hot computer base and the blotter surface. To vary the writing surface hardness, the plastic protective sheet that is included with the blotter can be left in place or removed.
Desk Blotter Size
Our standard side pocket desk blotters are 22″ wide x 15″ tall with 2 1/2″ deep side pockets.
We are designing a larger size blotter which will be coming soon.
We do not offer custom size desk blotters.
